Leadership
Robert A. Soderberg, CPP is President & CEO of Soderberg Global, LLC a risk management consulting firm and is also the firm's principal consultant.
Soderberg is an enterprise risk management professional with over 30 years of global experience in manufacturing, transportation, supply chain, multi media, retail, education and corporate settings.
He prides himself in being business minded, customer focused and results orientated with diverse experience in areas to include: mergers & acquisitions, cyber security, intellectual property protection, compliance, EHS, security, executive protection, investigations, K&R, travel risk management, crisis management, business continuity and loss prevention.
He has had senior level positions that include Chief Security Officer (CSO), Vice President and Director level positions in companies such as Ace Hardware, Kmart, Thomson Technicolor, Visteon and Johnson Controls.
He was a former volunteer leader as a Vice Chair, Secretary and Director of the International Cargo Security Council, past member of the World Customs Organization, Supply Chain Security, Trade Facilitation & Anti Terrorism task force and past adviser to the White House Office of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Recently he served as the Chief Security Ofiicer for Johnson Controls and was a member of the company's Enterprise Risk Committee and Cyber Security Governance Committee. He was also a past member of the board of directors of Johnson Controls Navy Systems, LLC.
In addition to his role at Soderberg Global, he is currently an elected official with the Germantown (WI) School District, serving as Board President and Director.
Invited by U.S. Department of State Secretary Kerry to become a Council Member of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and became Chair of the Threats & Risk to Personnel & Assets committee. Soderberg is currently a member of the Senior Advisory Group.
Soderberg is board certified in security, as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), with a Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University. Additional training was obtained by attending the Domestic Security Executive Academy, held at the FBI Academy, Quantico, VA.
Currently Soderberg possess a TS Clearance.
Soderberg is active in the following professional associations: ISMA, ASIS, IACP, OSAC, TAPA and ACFE.
